Walking in the Spirit
Galatians 5:16 — “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Spirit‑leading produces victory over sin.
Galatians 5:25 — “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Life in the Spirit must show up in daily conduct.
Ezekiel 36:27 — “I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes…” The Spirit empowers obedience.
Spirit vs. Flesh
Romans 8:13 — “If ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”
Spirit‑leading includes putting sin to death.
Galatians 5:17 — “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit…” The Spirit’s leading is opposed by the flesh’s desires.
Guidance, Assurance, and Identity
Isaiah 48:17 — “I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” God’s leading is purposeful and beneficial.
Proverbs 3:5–6 — “…he shall direct thy paths.” Trusting God results in divine direction.
