Following Jesus requires a decision and then action. Matthew 4:19-20, NIV. “Come, follow me, Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once they left their nets and followed him.”
Following Jesus means we will keep His commandments. I John 2:4, NKJV. “He who says, ‘I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him.”
If we do not follow Jesus, we follow Satan. Matthew 12:30, NIV. “He who is not with Me is against Me, and He who does not gather with Me scatters.”
John 10:27 — “My sheep hear my voice… and follow me.”
John 8:12 — Whoever follows Jesus will not walk in darkness.
1 John 2:6 — Whoever abides in Him must walk as He walked.
