THE PROMISES OF GOD

THERE ARE TIMES IN LIFE WHEN WE NEED TO KNOW AND STAND ON THE PROMISES OF GOD.

Deuteronomy 31:8

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I HOPE YOU FOUND THIS QUICK REFRESHER TO BE HELPFUL.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

FOOD FOR THOUGHT, THINK ABOUT THIS AS YOU GO ABOUT YOUR DAILY WALK.

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.

THIS IS A LIFESTYLE THAT WILL CAUSE GOD TO WANT TO BLESS YOU AS YOU ARE BEING A BLESSING UNTO OTHERS.
THINK ABOUT IT.

GODLY EXAMPLE

Take Heed Lest Your Example Contradict Your Doctrine

Leviticus 19:14

Never curse deaf people or put anything in the way of blind people to make them stumble. Instead, fear your God. I am the LORD.

Acts 20:28

Pay attention to yourselves and to the entire flock in which the Holy Spirit has placed you as bishopsto be shepherds for God’s church which he acquired with his own blood.

Take heed to yourselves, lest your example contradict your doctrine, and lest you lay such stumbling blocks before the blind as may be the occasion of their ruin; lest you may unsay that with your lives which you say with your tongues; and be the greatest hinderers of the success of your own labours.

RELATIONSHIP

THE BIBLE SPEAKS TO US ABOUT RELATIONSHIP
Ephesians 4:29‭-‬30 GW
Don’t say anything that would hurt ⌞another person⌟. Instead, speak only what is good so that you can give help wherever it is needed. That way, what you say will help those who hear you. Don’t give God’s Holy Spirit any reason to be upset with you. He has put his seal on you for the day you will be set free ⌞from the world of sin⌟.
Proverbs 13:20
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
James 1:19‭-‬20
Remember this, my dear brothers and sisters: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and should not get angry easily. An angry person doesn’t do what God approves of.
2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
ALLOW THESE VERSES TO BE A GUIDE UNTO YOUR LIFE.

CHRIST

Christ

Jesus as the Christ was the Messiah, the Sent One of God to do a work for us (see the 43 times in John’s Gospel He is spoken of as the One who was “sent,” and the purpose why He was sent—John 20:31). As the Christ He has—

1. “Died for us”—Rom. 5:8.

2. He was raised for us—Rom. 6:9.

3. He lives in us—Gal. 2:20.

4. He has redeemed us—Gal. 3:13.

5. He brings us near to God—Eph. 2:13.

6. He strengthens us—Phil. 4:13.

7. He is the Object for our concentration in life—Phil. 1:21.

I HOPE YOU FOUND THIS TO BE A GOOD REFRESHER.

THE PROMISES OF GOD

LET US LOOK AT SOME OF THE PROMISES OF GOD:
PART 1
ISAIAH 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
DEUTERONOMY 31:8
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
PSALMS 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
PSALMS 91:3
Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
ISAIAH 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THESE PROMISES MEAN TO US.
TRUST GOD, STAND ON HIS PROMISES, AND ENJOY A BLESSED LIFE.

HOW ARE YOU LIVING

HOW ARE YOU LIVING?
1. The prodigal followed the soul-wasting life by “riotous living” (Luke 15:13).
2. The believer in Christ is declared to “live” because of Christ (“by” means “because of”), hence the Christian life is from the Lord—John 6:57.
3. The justified “live by faith” (Rom. 1:17).
4. As priests, we present our bodies a “living sacrifice,” and thus live consecratedly (Rom. 12:1).
5. As the Lord’s own, we are responsible to “live unto the Lord” (Rom. 14:7, 😎.
6. As those who are redeemed, our motto is, “For me to live is Christ” (Phil. 1:21).
7. To “live soberly, righteously, and godly” in this world, is to prove we know the grace of God (Titus 2:12; 1 Peter 2:24).
8. To “live in the Spirit” is to evidence we have life from Him (Gal. 5:25).
JESUS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR MAN-KIND TO FOLLOW.
IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, YOU WILL LIVE YOUR LIFE IN A MANOR THAT REFLECTS CHRIST.
SELF-CHECK, HOW ARE YOU LIVING?

BAD REASONS FOR DIVORCE

BAD REASONS FOR DEVORCE:
There are many Christians who give terrible excuses for why they want a divorce. Right when it gets a little hard they want to call it quits. If this is how you are feeling right now please seek biblical counseling, but most of all you must pray and fast not only for God to change your spouse, but for yourself as well. Marriage helps with sanctification so sometimes it won’t be easy, but you must not run away when it gets hard.
Did God tell Hosea to divorce his adulterous wife? No He said, “go show your love to your wife again.” It is always for better or for worse. Did God leave us when we sinned against Him, went astray, and when we were unfaithful to Him? No, He brought us a Savior Jesus Christ. Do you not see that we are a reflection of God?
My fellow Christian if God didn’t leave you through the worst times, but showed His love for you then, who are you to leave your spouse when it gets a little tough? Always remember that God loves you and He can fix any relationship. Boldly seek Him in your time of need. Don’t say you want to fix your marriage but you do not seek God’s face daily.
My husband / wife is an unbeliever or was never truly saved.
1 Corinthians 7:12-14 “To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.”
1 Peter 3:1 “Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives.”
My husband / wife is addicted to pornography.
Joel 2:12 “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
Proverbs 11:14 “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”
We are just so incompatible. We always argue.
James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
I got married to the wrong person.
1 Corinthians 7:17 “Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.”
My spouse just doesn’t love me anymore.
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
I don’t love my spouse anymore.
Ephesians 5:33 “However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”
Colossians 3:19 “Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.”
I HOPE YOU FOUND THIS QUICK STUDY TO BE HELPFUL.

GOD’S APPROVAL

IF YOU WANT GOD’S APPROVAL ON YOUR LIFE, READ THIS, AND APPLY IT TO YOUR LIFE:
In the future your children will ask you, “What do these regulations, laws, and rules which the Lord our God commanded you mean to you?” Tell them, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, but the Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of there. Right before our eyes the Lord did miraculous signs and amazing things that were spectacular but terrible for Egypt, Pharaoh, and his whole family. The Lord led us out of there to bring us here and give us this land he promised to our ancestors with an oath. The Lord our God commanded us to obey all these laws and to fear him. These laws are for our own good as long as we live so that he will preserve our lives. It’s still true today. This is how we’ll have the Lord’s approval: If we faithfully obey all these laws in the presence of the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.”
Deuteronomy 6:20‭-‬25 GW
THE WORD OF GOD IS STILL ACTIVE, AND POWERFUL.
OBEY THE WORD OF GOD AND HAVE A JOYFUL LONG LIFE.
