Ps 84:11 The Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord grants favor and honor. He does not hold back any blessing from those who live innocently. James 1:17 Every good present and every perfect gift comes from above, from the Father who made the sun, moon, and stars. The Father doesn’t change like the shifting shadows produced by the sun and the moon. Phil 4:19 My God will richly fill your every need in a glorious way through Christ Jesus. Ps 112:1–3 Hallelujah! Blessed is the person who fears the Lord and is happy to obey his commands. His descendants will grow strong on the earth. The family of a decent person will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his home. His righteousness continues forever.
ALL BLESSINGS COME FROM GOD. LET US THANK GOD FOR BLESSING US.
No devoted Christian should do anything unworthy of the name he bears. 1 Peter 2:11 Dear friends, since you are foreigners and temporary residents ⸤in the world⸥, I’m encouraging you to keep away from the desires of your corrupt nature. These desires constantly attack you. 1 Peter 1:14–17 Because you are children who obey God, don’t live the kind of lives you once lived. Once you lived to satisfy your desires because you didn’t know any better. But because the God who called you is holy, you must be holy in every aspect of your life. Scripture says, “Be holy, because I am holy.” So if you call God your Father, live your time as temporary residents on earth in fear. He is the God who judges all people by what they have done, and he doesn’t play favorites. 1 Thessalonians 2:12 you should live in a way that proves you belong to the God who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

Matthew 6:25–34 “So I tell you to stop worrying about what you will eat, drink, or wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothes? “Look at the birds. They don’t plant, harvest, or gather the harvest into barns. Yet, your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they? “Can any of you add a single hour to your life by worrying? “And why worry about clothes? Notice how the flowers grow in the field. They never work or spin yarn for clothes. But I say that not even Solomon in all his majesty was dressed like one of these flowers. That’s the way God clothes the grass in the field. Today it’s alive, and tomorrow it’s thrown into an incinerator. So how much more will he clothe you people who have so little faith? “Don’t ever worry and say, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ Everyone is concerned about these things, and your heavenly Father certainly knows you need all of them. But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you. “So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Proverbs 11:1 – “The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him.”→ Symbolic of fairness in dealings, including within family. Proverbs 20:17 – “Food gained by fraud tastes sweet to a man, but he ends up with a mouth full of gravel.” → Deceit may feel rewarding at first, but it leads to regret and ruin. Galatians 6:7 – “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” → A reminder that betrayal and dishonesty have consequences. Micah 6:13“So also I will make you sick, striking you down, Desolating you because of your sins.
TREAT YOUR FAMILY FAIR, LIVE A RIGHTEOUS LIFE AND BE BLESSED BY GOD. REMEMBER SIN COMES WITH CONSEQUENCES. DON’T ALLOW SIN IN YOUR LIFE TO CAUSE GOD TO BRING SICKNESS INTO YOUR LIFE. DON’T CAUSE GOD TO STRIKE YOU DOWN, AND THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, AMEN AND AMEN.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 God will certainly judge everything that is done. This includes every secret thing, whether it is good or bad. What It Means This verse is the final statement in Ecclesiastes—a book that wrestles with the meaning of life, the limits of human wisdom, and the fleeting nature of earthly pursuits. It ends with a sobering and clarifying truth: Key Themes: • God’s Judgment Is Comprehensive: Not only are public actions judged, but even hidden motives, secret deeds, and private thoughts. Nothing escapes His notice. • Moral Accountability: Whether an act is good or evil, it matters. This verse affirms that our choices have eternal significance. • Call to Reverence: It’s not meant to instill fear, but to inspire awe and integrity. Knowing that God sees all encourages us to live sincerely and righteously. In Context: Ecclesiastes 12:13 (the verse just before) says: “Fear God and keep his commandments, because this applies to everyone.” Together, these verses form a powerful conclusion: life may feel confusing or vain at times, but the ultimate purpose is clear—live in reverence to God, obey His ways, and remember that everything will be weighed by Him.

Genesis 6:5–6 The LORD saw how evil humans had become on the earth. All day long their deepest thoughts were nothing but evil. The LORD was sorry that he had made humans on the earth, and he was heartbroken. Romans 3:23 Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God’s glory. 1 Corinthians 3:9–11 We are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field. You are God’s building. As a skilled and experienced builder, I used the giftthat God gave me to lay the foundation ⸤for that building⸥. However, someone else is building on it. Each person must be careful how he builds on it. After all, no one can lay any other foundation than the one that is already laid, and that foundation is Jesus Christ. I am convinced that the first step towards attaining a higher standard of holiness is to realize more fully the amazing sinfulness of sin.
SO MANY PEOPLE SPEND THEIR TIME LOOKING AND FINDING SIN IN THE LIFE OF OTHER PEOPLE, BUT NEVER LOOKING AT THE SIN IN THEIR LIFE, THEREFORE THEY THINK THEY ARE SO HOLY.
A HEART FOR GOD 2 Chronicles 25:2 “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.” LETS TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THIS VERSE: “Did that which was right”: Amaziah followed God’s laws and upheld religious practices. He wasn’t rebellious or wicked in his actions. “But not with a perfect heart”: His motives were divided. He lacked full devotion, sincerity, or wholehearted commitment to God. This verse draws a sharp line between external righteousness and internal devotion: Amaziah’s actions were correct, but his heart wasn’t fully aligned with God’s will. It’s a reminder that God looks beyond behavior to the condition of the heart—He desires not just obedience, but love, trust, and wholehearted surrender. This verse is a mirror for us today. It asks: • Are we doing the “right things” but with a reluctant or divided heart? • Do we obey God out of duty, fear, or habit—rather than love and trust? • Are we open to correction, or do we resist when God challenges our motives? What This Reveals About God’s Heart • God values obedience that flows from love and trust, not just outward compliance. • He is slow to anger, sending warnings and prophets to correct Amaziah. • But when Amaziah hardened his heart and embraced idolatry, God withdrew protection and allowed consequences to unfold. This chapter is a vivid portrait of how God responds to divided hearts—not with instant punishment, but with calls to repentance, followed by discipline when ignored. Judgment and Consequences • God allowed Amaziah to suffer military defeat at the hands of Israel (verses 17–24). Jerusalem’s walls were breached, and treasures were looted. • Though Amaziah lived another 15 years, he never repented. Eventually, his own people conspired against him and assassinated him (verse 27).
DOING WHAT’S RIGHT IS NOT ENOUGH. WE MUST DO IT WITH THE RIGHT MOTIVE. WE MUST DO IT WITH OUR HEART COMMITTED TO GOD. LET US REMEMBER OUR MOTIVE AND OUR HEART CAN CAUSE US TO RECEIVE BLESSINGS OR CONSEQUENCES FROM GOD. ALLOW THIS WORD FROM GOD TO BE A GUIDE UNTO YOUR LIFE.
Ps 84:11 The Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord grants favor and honor. He does not hold back any blessing from those who live innocently. Prov 12:2 A good person obtains favor from the Lord, but the Lord condemns everyone who schemes. Ps 5:12You bless righteous people, O Lord. Like a large shield, you surround them with your favor. Isaiah 66:2 “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God.” Favor is not earned—it’s received through faith, humility, and reverence for God’s Word.
