The Bible speaks to us about confession

The Bible speaks to us about confession

Confession prepares the way for forgiveness. It’s in the Bible, I John 1:9, NIV. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Confession makes success possible. It’s in the Bible, Proverbs 28:13, TLB. “A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance.”

I HOPE YOU RECEIVED FROM THIS QUICK REFRESHER.

Who Receives God’s Favor

Who Receives God’s Favor

Psalm 5:12 – “Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” This verse allows us to see that God blesses the righteous with His favor. This verse also show us that God’s favor acts as protection and provision for those who live uprightly.
Psalm 84:11 – The LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor. He does not hold back any blessing from those who live innocently.
Proverbs 12:2 A good person obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns everyone who schemes.

IF YOU EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE FAVOR OF GOD ON YOUR LIFE YOU MUST LIVE AN INNOCENT LIFE, YOU MUST LIFE A GODLY LIFE, YOU MUST LIVE A LIFE THAT BRINGS HONOR TO GOD.

OUR GOD IS CONSISTENT

OUR GOD IS CONSISTENT

God’s nature, plans and purpose do not change. The same consistent plan of salvation can be seen throughout the OT and NT, culminating in Jesus Christ who is “the same yesterday and today and forever”. Believers are also called to show the same consistency in their faith and witness.
Numbers 23:19 God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it.
Psalm 89:34 I will not dishonor my promise or alter my own agreement.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Deuteronomy 32:4 He is a rock. What he does is perfect. All his ways are fair. He is a faithful God, who does no wrong. He is honorable and reliable.

OUR GOD IS CONSISTENT; WE CAN TRUST OUR GOD.
IF GOD SAID IT WE CAN BELEIVE IT.

Be aware of fake friends.

Be aware of fake friends.

“Fake friends show their true colors when they don’t need you anymore.”
“Be careful who you call your friends. I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.”
“Fake friends are like leeches; they stick to you till they get the blood from you.”
“Don’t fear the foe who attacks you but fear the friend who hugs you fakely.”
“Being honest may not get you many friends, but it’ll get you the right ones.”
“Fake Friends: Once they stop talking to you, they start talking about you.”
“Growing up means realizing a lot of your friends aren’t really your friends.”
“The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies.”
“It’s not about who is real to your face. It’s about who stays real behind your back.”
“As you grow older, you realize it becomes less important to have more friends and more important to have real ones.
“I’d rather have honest enemies than fake friends.”
“An honest enemy is better than a best friend who lies.”
“This is what happens. You tell your friends your most personal secrets, and they use them against you.”
“Fake friends are like shadows: always near you at your brightest moments, but nowhere to be seen at your darkest hour True friends are like stars, you don’t always see them but they are always there.”
“The most dangerous creature on this earth is a fake friend.”
“Sometimes it’s not the people who change, it’s the mask that falls off.”
BE CAREFUL HOW YOU CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS. SOME OF US NEED TO CLEAN OUR CIRCLE OUT. LET US GET RID OF FAKE FRIENDS.
Discernment is key: Not everyone who smiles is sincere. Scripture encourages us to test the spirit and observe actions over words.
• True friendship is sacrificial and loyal: A real friend sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).
• God is our ultimate refuge: When human relationships fail, God remains faithful and trustworthy.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
