A HEART FOR GOD 2 Chronicles 25:2 “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.” LETS TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THIS VERSE: “Did that which was right”: Amaziah followed God’s laws and upheld religious practices. He wasn’t rebellious or wicked in his actions. “But not with a perfect heart”: His motives were divided. He lacked full devotion, sincerity, or wholehearted commitment to God. This verse draws a sharp line between external righteousness and internal devotion: Amaziah’s actions were correct, but his heart wasn’t fully aligned with God’s will. It’s a reminder that God looks beyond behavior to the condition of the heart—He desires not just obedience, but love, trust, and wholehearted surrender. This verse is a mirror for us today.
