WE BELONG

WE BELONG

1 Peter 2:10 Once you were not God’s people, but now you are. Once you were not shown mercy, but now you have been shown mercy.
In this verse Peter is reminding believers of the dramatic change God has made in their identity — from outsiders to God’s people, from lacking mercy to living in mercy. It’s a before-and-after picture of salvation.
In this verse Peter is describing your before-and-after in Christ.
Peter is showing the dramatic change God has made in your identity:
Before Christ: You were spiritually outside God’s family — not part of His people, not under His covenant mercy.
After Christ: God brought you in. You became His people. You received His mercy.
This is not something you earned — it is something God did for you.
Which part speaks louder to you today —the belonging (“now you are God’s people”)
Or the mercy (“now you have been shown mercy”)?

WE HAVE A LOT TO THANK GOD FOR; OUR GOD IS WORTHY OF PRAISE. GLOOORRRY!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
