A WORD FROM GOD
Isaiah 43:18–19 Forget what happened in the past, and do not dwell on events from long ago. I am going to do something new. It is already happening. Don’t you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.
Proverbs 16:3 Entrust your efforts to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.
Matthew 6:34 “So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Joshua 1:9 “I have commanded you, ‘Be strong and courageous! Don’t tremble or be terrified, because the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.’ ”
Psalm 20:4 He will give you your heart’s desire and carry out all your plans.
Ephesians 5:15–16 So then, be very careful how you live. Don’t live like foolish people but like wise people. Make the most of your opportunities because these are evil days.
Numbers 6:24–26 The LORD will bless you and watch over you. The LORD will smile on you and be kind to you. The LORD will look on you with favor and give you peace.’

Soldiers for God or the Devil

Soldiers for God or the Devil

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. He will hate the first master and love the second, or he will be devoted to the first and despise the second. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Joshua 24:15 “But if you don’t want to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Even if you choose the gods your ancestors served on the other side of the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live, my family and I will still serve the LORD.”
James 1:8 A person who has doubts is thinking about two different things at the same time and can’t make up his mind about anything.
Psalm 119:30 I have chosen a life of faithfulness. I have set your regulations in front of me.
Matthew 12:30 “Whoever isn’t with me is against me. Whoever doesn’t gather with me scatters.
MAKE UP YOUR MIND WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BE WITH.
Deuteronomy 30:19–20 I call on heaven and earth as witnesses today that I have offered you life or death, blessings or curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants will live. Love the LORD your God, obey him, and be loyal to him. This will be your way of life, and it will mean a long life for you in the land that the LORD swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
You must be much in the way, or much out of the way; a good soldier for God, or for the devil. O choose the better part! Now! Today!

Christ will not desert us

Christ will not desert us

Hebrews 13:5 For he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”.
Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to oppose you successfully as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will never neglect you or abandon you.
Several times in the Scriptures the Lord has said he will never leave us. He has often repeated it, to make our assurance doubly sure. Let us never harbor a doubt of it. In itself the promise is specially emphatic. In the Greek it has five negatives, each one definitely shutting out the possibility of the Lord’s ever leaving one of his people so that he can justly feel forsaken of his God. This priceless Scripture does not promise us exemption from trouble, but it does secure us against desertion. We may be called to traverse strange ways, but we shall always have our Lord’s company, assistance, and provision. We need not covet money, for we shall always have our God, and God is better than gold, his favor is better than fortune.
We ought surely to be content with such things as we have, for he who has God has more than all the world besides. What can we have beyond the Infinite? What more can we desire than Almighty Goodness?
If God says he will never leave you, nor forsake you, be much in prayer for grace, that you may never leave your Lord, nor even for a moment forsake his ways.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED AND RECEIVED FROM THIS QUICK REFRESHER.

GOD TEACHES US ABOUT LOVE.

GOD TEACHES US ABOUT LOVE.

1 John 4:7–12 God Himself is the source and definition of love. We learn love from Him, and we demonstrate that we belong to Him when we love others. God showed His love by sending His Son. “God is love.”
Matthew 22:37–40 Jesus teaches that the entire Law and Prophets rest on two commands:
Love God with your whole being. Love your neighbor as yourself.
John 13:34–35 Jesus gives a new standard: love others as He loved us. This sacrificial, self-giving love is the mark of true discipleship. “Love each other as I have loved you.”
1 Corinthians 13:4–8 Paul describes love’s character: patient, kind, humble, forgiving, enduring, and truthful. Love never fails. “Love is patient. Love is kind.”
1 John 3:16–18 Love is not just emotion—it is action. We lay down our lives for others and meet their needs. “We must show love through actions.”
WHY DO YOU HATE, DISCRIMINATE, AND REFUSE TO HELP OTHERS.
LET US OBEY GOD AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

CHECK YOURSELF, LIVE AS GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE.

CHECK YOURSELF, LIVE AS GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE.

James 4:11–12 Brothers and sisters, stop slandering each other. Those who slander and judge other believers slander and judge God’s laws. If you judge God’s teachings, you are no longer following them. Instead, you are judging them. There is only one who creates laws and judges on the basis of them. He is able to save or destroy you. So who are you to judge your neighbor?
Psalm 37:1 (GW) “Do not be preoccupied with evildoers. Do not envy those who do wicked things.”
1 Peter 2:1 So get rid of every kind of evil, every kind of deception, hypocrisy, jealousy, and every kind of slander.
Ephesians 4:22 (GW)“You were taught to change the way you were living. The person you used to be will ruin you through desires that deceive you.”
Ephesians 4:25 (GW)“So then, get rid of lies. Speak the truth to each other, because we are all members of the same body.”
Ephesians 4:31 (GW)“Get rid of your bitterness, hot tempers, anger, loud quarreling, cursing, and hatred.”
James 1:21 (GW) “So get rid of every immoral behavior and all the wicked things you do. Humbly accept the word that God plants in you. This word is able to save you.”
AS WE PREPARE TO ENTER THE NEW YEAR, LET US CHECK OURSELF. LET US RECOGNIZE THE SIN THAT IS IN OUR LIFE, LET US REPENT AND REMOVE THAT SIN FROM OUR LIFE, AND ENTER THE NEW YEAR LIVING AS GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE SHOULD LIFE.

GIVE GOD HIS PRAISE

GIVE GOD HIS PRAISE

Psalm 103:1–3 Praise the LORD, my soul! Praise his holy name, all that is within me. Praise the LORD, my soul, and never forget all the good he has done: He is the one who forgives all your sins, the one who heals all your diseases,
2 Samuel 22:4 The LORD should be praised. I called on him, and I was saved from my enemies.
1 Chronicles 16:25 “The LORD is great! He should be highly praised. He should be feared more than all ⸤other⸥ gods.
Psalm 21:13 Arise, O LORD, in your strength. We will sing and make music to praise your power.
Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD because he is good, because his mercy endures forever.
Psalm 16:7 I will praise the LORD, who advises me. My conscience warns me at night.
Psalm 118:21 I give thanks to you, because you have answered me. You are my savior.
Psalm 104:33 I will sing to the LORD throughout my life. I will make music to praise my God as long as I live.

DO YOU FEEL THAT GOD IS WORTHY OF PRAISE? WILL YOU TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF GOD?
THINK ABOUT ALL THAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU, IS DOING FOR YOU, AND WILL DO FOR YOU. NOW GIVE HIM PRAISE. OUR GOD IS WORTHY OF HIS PRAISE.

LET US NOT FORGET JESUS

LET US NOT FORGET JESUS

Isa 9:6 A child will be born for us. A son will be given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. He will be named: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isa 7:14 So the Lord himself will give you this sign: A virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and she will name him Immanuel [God Is With Us].
Philippians 2:6–8 Although he was in the form of God and equal with God, he did not take advantage of this equality. Instead, he emptied himself by taking on the form of a servant, by becoming like other humans, by having a human appearance. He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, death on a cross.

LET US NOT FORGET JESUS, WHO HE IS, WHAT HE HAS DONE, IS DOING, AND WILL ALWAYS DO FOR US.
THANK YOU JESUS! THANK YOU GOD!

A LIVING SACRIFICE

A LIVING SACRIFICE

Romans 12:1 Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.
“Therefore” in this verse separates what God has done from what we should do next. Because of the saving act of Jesus, we should offer our bodies as “a living sacrifice.” A sacrifice is easy to understand; it is something that is offered, or given up to God. But Paul does not tell the people to sacrifice themselves to God—he tells them to be a “living sacrifice”; one that is holy and pleasing to God.
Letting go of something in sacrifice can be difficult, but it is usually a one time go. Being a living sacrifice is a whole other level. It is every single day crawling up on the alter, and giving yourself to God. To be a living sacrifice, is to make the choice of letting go of your desires constantly, knowing that God’s desires are greater, and will replace your own. And this is not a requirement of salvation—it is the way that we worship God with all that we are. The God of the universe sent His son to die on the cross, so that we could be saved from our sins, and the way we worship Him is to live our new life for Him alone.
1 Corinthians 6:19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves.
1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything to the glory of God.
