The bible teaches us to be Quick To Listen And Slow To Speak
James 1:19 ESV
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
Proverbs 17:28 ESV
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
Ephesians 4:29 ESV
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Proverbs 21:23 ESV
Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.
Ephesians 4:26 ESV
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

OUR GOD WANTS TO BLESS US

OUR GOD WANTS TO BLESS US
God blesses us even though we don’t deserve it. The Bible tells us, “Out of the fullness of his grace he has blessed us all, giving us one blessing after another” (John 1:16 GNT).
God blesses us because he enjoys doing it. Any parent can understand this. We love to bless our children. So does God. God says in Jeremiah 32:41: “I will enjoy blessing them” (GW).
God promises he will bless our lives if we obey him. God’s promises and his blessings are not automatic. They are conditional. You’re not waiting on God to bless you. He is waiting for you to fulfill the conditions necessary for your blessing.
God blesses us as a witness to others. God wants to show off his blessing so that other people can see what a good God he is.
God blesses us to bless others. God doesn’t bless you so you can just store up his blessings and keep them all to yourselves. God blesses you so you can bless others.
God’s blessing can be multigenerational. God does this over and over throughout the Bible. For example, the Bible says in Genesis 25:11, “After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac” (NIV).
Never forget that God wants to bless you. You’re not waiting for him. He’s waiting for you! THINK ABOUT IT.

THE BIBLE SPEAKS TO US ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY

THE BIBLE SPEAKS TO US ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY
1 CORINTHIANS 6:12-20
12 Someone may say, “I’m allowed to do anything,” but not everything is helpful. I’m allowed to do anything, but I won’t allow anything to gain control over my life. 13 Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food, but God will put an end to both of them. However, the body is not for sexual sin but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. 14 God brought the Lord back to life, and by his power God will also bring us back to life.
15 Don’t you realize that your bodies are parts of Christ’s body? Should I take the parts of Christ’s body and make them parts of a prostitute’s body? That’s unthinkable! 16 Don’t you realize that the person who unites himself with a prostitute becomes one body with her? God says, “The two will be one.” 17 However, the person who unites himself with the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
18 Stay away from sexual sins. Other sins that people commit don’t affect their bodies the same way sexual sins do. People who sin sexually sin against their own bodies. 19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves. 20 You were bought for a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body.
The human body is abused more than any other single thing on earth. Men develop and expend most of their resources on “things” and machines that damage and kill the human body. In comparison, little is spent on saving and nurturing the human body. If there is any single thing that proves man’s utter depravity, it is how he treats his own human body. The present passage deals with this problem. It is God’s case against the indulgence of the human body.
1. The body is to be governed by the principles of Christian liberty (v. 12).
2. The body is not designed for selfish desires and urges (vv. 13–14).
3. The body is designed to be a member of Christ (vv. 15–18).
4. The body is designed to be the temple of the Holy Spirit (v. 19).
5. The body and spirit are both designed to honor God (v. 20).

THE BIBLE TEACHES US ABOUT THE WORD OF GOD

THE BIBLE TEACHES US ABOUT THE WORD OF GOD
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Psalm 119:9
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Luke 11:28
He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
THE WORD OF GOD IS STILL ALIVE AND ACTIVE. THE WORD OF GOD STILL APPLIES TO US TODAY.

The influence of righteousness

The influence of righteousness
The life of righteousness must not become a solitary and selfish experience. When God blesses the righteous, He does it so they can share the blessing with others. “I will bless you,” God promised Abraham, “and you shall be a blessing” (Gen. 12:2, NKJV). The “blessed man” of Psalm 1 is “like a tree” that produces fruit for others to enjoy (Ps. 1:3). “The righteous will thrive like a green leaf … The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life” (Prov. 11:28, 30, NIV).
Let’s trace the circles of influence that radiate from the lives of men and women of God who walk on His paths.
They are blessed in their character. The eminent American preacher Phillips Brooks said that the purpose of life was the building of character through truth. Christian character is one thing we’ll take to heaven with us. We’ll all have glorified bodies like that of our Lord (Phil. 3:20–21; 1 John 3:1–3), and we’ll all be happy in His presence, but we will not all immediately have the same capacity for appreciating spiritual things. Every vessel will be filled, but not all vessels will be the same size. Those who have walked closely with their Lord will be delighted to see Him (2 Tim. 4:8), but others will be “ashamed before Him at His coming” (1 John 2:28).
The righteous desire the very best from the Lord, and He grants it to them (Prov. 10:24; 11:23). When we delight ourselves in the Lord, we will want the things that delight Him (Ps. 37:4). The developing of spiritual perception, a godly appetite, and the ability to choose the best (Phil. 1:9–11), is one of the blessed by-products of a holy walk with God. The more we become like Christ, the less we enjoy the “entertainment” of this world and long for the enrichment of the world to come.
Of course, godly character comes from feeding on the Word and taking time to be holy. “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser; teach a just man, and he will increase in learning” (Prov. 9:9). Even reproof helps the godly person to mature. “Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you” (v. 8, NKJV).
The righteous are kind and generous (21:26) and show their kindness, not only in the way they treat people (29:7) but also in the way they treat animals. “A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel” (12:10, NKJV).

THE BIBLE SPEAKS ABOUT HUSBANDS

THE BIBLE SPEAKS ABOUT HUSBANDS
Should have but one wife. Genesis 2:24 That is why a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Have authority over their wives. 1 Corinthians 11:3 However, I want you to realize that Christ has authority over every man, a husband has authority over his wife, and God has authority over Christ.
Duty of, to wives
To respect them. 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, in a similar way, live with your wives with understanding since they are weaker than you are. Honor your wives as those who share God’s life-giving kindness so that nothing will interfere with your prayers.
To love them. Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be harsh with them.
WE NEED TO MAKE SURE OUR DAUGHTERS NO WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A HUSBAND.
WE NEED TO MAKE SURE OUR SONS KNOW HOW TO BE A HUSBAND.

THE GUIDEBOOK TO THE CHRISTIAN’S HOME

THE GUIDEBOOK TO THE CHRISTIAN’S HOME
If a man is traveling and does not know where he is going to, or how he is going to get there, you know he has a good deal of trouble, and does not enjoy the trip as much as if he has a guidebook at hand. It is not safe traveling, and he does not know how to make through-connections. Now, the Bible is a guidebook in the journey of life, and the only one that points the way to Heaven. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Let us take heed then not to refuse the light and the help it gives.
THINK ABOUT IT.
WE MUST READ THE BIBLE; WE MUST STUDY THE BIBLE.
THINK ABOUT IT.
