1 Peter 2:9 However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. DO YOU TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE EXCELLENT QUALITIES OF GOD? 1 Peter 1:15 But because the God who called you is holy, you must be holy in every aspect of your life. HOW ARE YOU LIVING? ARE YOU LIVING A HOLY LIFE? 1 Peter 2:21 God called you to endure suffering because Christ suffered for you. He left you an example so that you could follow in his footsteps. JESUS DID NOT GIVE UP ON US, HE ENDURED SUFFERING. WE MUST NOT GIVE UP WHEN WE EXPERIENCE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. DO YOU GIVE UP, OR DO YOU ENDURE? Ephesians 4:1 I, a prisoner in the Lord, encourage you to live the kind of life which proves that God has called you. CHECK-YOURSELF HOW ARE YOU LIVING? 2 Peter 1:10 Therefore, brothers and sisters, use more effort to make God’s calling and choosing of you secure. If you keep doing this, you will never fall away. In short, 2 Peter 1:10 (GW) is a call to intentional perseverance in faith, proving God’s work in us by living out virtues. It’s about assurance through action—not earning salvation, but confirming it by steadfast obedience. LET US CONSISTANTLY CHECK OURSELF, MAKING SURE WE ARE LIVING A LIFE THAT IS PLEASING TO GOD.
Galatians 6:9 We can’t allow ourselves to get tired of living the right way. Certainly, each of us will receive ⸤everlasting life⸥ at the proper time, if we don’t give up. James 1:12 Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. Hebrews 10:36 You need endurance so that after you have done what God wants you to do, you can receive what he has promised. Romans 5:2–4 Through Christ we can approach God and stand in his favor. So we brag because of our confidence that we will receive glory from God. But that’s not all. We also brag when we are suffering. We know that suffering creates endurance, endurance creates character, and character creates confidence. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, we can’t allow ourselves to get tired of doing what is right. BROTHERS AND SISTERS THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL WORD FROM GOD. THINK ABOUT IT. WERE YOU ABLE TO RECEIVE IT TO YOUR LIFE? SOME WILL RECCEIVE THIS WORD FROM GOD, AND SOME WILL NOT, BUT TO US WHO UNDERSTAND, RECEIVE, AND APPLY THIS WORD TO OUR LIFE, OH WHAT A CHANGE IT WILL BRING TO OUR LIFE. THIS WORD FROM GOD IS SO DEEP I ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ MORE THAN ONCE TO BE ABLE TO RECEIVE MORE.
LET US REMEMBER WE ARE NOT ALONE. WE CAN ALWAYS CALL ON GOD. OUR GOD WANT US TO TAKE OUR CONCERNS TO HIM. Psalm 145:18 “The LORD is near to everyone who calls to him, to everyone who calls to him sincerely.” Psalm 50:15 “Call on me in a day of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me.” 2 Timothy 2:22 “Stay away from lusts which tempt young people. Pursue what has God’s approval—righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Do this together with those who call on the Lord for help with a pure heart.” God invites His people to call on Him in distress, in faith, and in sincerity—and He promises to respond.
“Why Healing Doesn’t Always Happen: Five Biblical Insights” In short: The Bible shows that God is able and willing to heal, but not everyone experiences healing because of factors like God’s sovereign purposes, lack of faith, unforgiveness, spiritual hindrances, and misconceptions about healing. Key Biblical Reasons Why Healing Doesn’t Always Happen God’s Sovereignty and Purpose Scripture emphasizes that God governs all things according to His wisdom (Proverbs 19:21). Sometimes sickness is permitted to fulfill His greater plan, such as Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” (2 Corinthians 12:7–9). Healing is not automatic; it unfolds within God’s timing and purpose. Faith and Expectation Jesus often linked healing to faith: “Your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:34). In some contexts, unbelief hindered miracles (Matthew 13:58). Many Christians today may disqualify themselves by doubting or overcomplicating healing with man-made rules. Unforgiveness and Heart Issues Spiritual blockages like unforgiveness can hinder healing. For example, bitterness or unresolved sin may prevent someone from receiving God’s power. James 5:16 connects confession and prayer with healing: “Confess your sins to one another and pray… that you may be healed.” Misunderstanding Healing Some expect healing to be instant or universal, but the Bible shows variation. Timothy had stomach issues (1 Timothy 5:23), and Trophimus was left sick by Paul (2 Timothy 4:20). Even faithful servants sometimes endured illness. Spiritual Warfare and Hindrances Healing can be blocked by spiritual opposition or curses. Ephesians 6:12 reminds believers that struggles are not merely physical but against spiritual forces. God’s Greater Glory At times, sickness is used to reveal God’s glory. In John 9:3, Jesus explained that the man’s blindness was “so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” Healing or endurance both serve divine purposes. Biblically, the absence of healing today is not proof of God’s weakness or indifference. Instead, it reflects His sovereignty, the complexity of human faith and heart conditions, and the reality of spiritual warfare. Healing is real and promised, but it is not mechanical—it is relational, purposeful, and ultimately subject to God’s will.
