Matthew 26:41 Stay awake, and pray that you won’t be tempted. You want to do what’s right, but you’re weak.” Mark 14:38 Stay awake, and pray that you won’t be tempted. You want to do what’s right, but you’re weak.” Luke 22:46 He said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up, and pray that you won’t be tempted.” FORM YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WHILE ALL IS WELL. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE STORM COME INTO YOUR LIFE TO RUN TO GOD. DON’T CAUSE GOD TO TELL YOU TO GO AWAY FROM ME I DON’T KNOW YOU. The reason why many fail in the battle is because they wait until the hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their victory on their knees long before the battle came.
John 6:47 says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.” This powerful promise is echoed throughout Scripture. Here are some rich cross-references that reinforce the theme of faith leading to eternal life: Key Cross References – John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:36 – “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” – John 5:24 – “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life.” – John 6:40 – “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” – John 11:26 – “Everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” – Romans 5:9–10 – “Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!” – Colossians 3:3–4 – “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” – 1 John 5:12–13 – “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” These verses form a beautiful tapestry of assurance, showing that belief in Christ is not just a momentary act—it’s the gateway to eternal life, transformation, and union with Him.

A short-tempered man is a fool. It’s in the Bible, Ecclesiastes 7:9, TLB. “Don’t be quick-tempered—that is being a fool.” Proverbs 19:11, TLB. “A wise man restrains his anger and overlooks insults. This is to his credit.” It’s in the Bible, Proverbs 16:32, TLB “It is better to be slow-tempered than famous; it is better to have self-control than to control an army.” Get over anger quickly. Ephesians 4:26-27, TLB. “If you are angry, don’t sin by nursing your grudge. Don’t let the sun go down with you still angry—get over it quickly; For when you are angry you give a mighty foothold to the devil.” Don’t fight back when wronged. It’s in the Bible, I Peter 3:9, TLB “Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t snap back at those who say unkind things about you. Instead, pray for God’s help for them, for we are to be kind to others, and God will bless us for it.” Why do we forgive, rather than continue to be angry? Because God forgave us. It’s in the Bible, Ephesians 4:30-32, NKJV. ” And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

Ghosts are real, but they are not angels from God or our dead loved ones. They are fallen angels trying to deceive us. It’s in the Bible, Ephesians 6:11-12, KJV. “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” It’s in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, NIV. “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.” Do good people become angels when they die? God’s angels are heavenly beings, not spirits of dead humans. Angels have existed before humans were created. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 8:4-5, NKJV. “What is man that You [Lord] are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.” There are evil spirits in this world that are the fallen angels who followed Satan in rebellion against God. It’s in the Bible, Revelation 12:9, NKJV. “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Can the dead haunt houses? It’s in the Bible, Job 7:9-10, NKJV. “As the cloud disappears and vanishes away, so he who goes down to the grave does not come up. He shall never return to his house, nor shall his place know him anymore.” If people die with unfinished business to care for, do they become ghosts and haunt the places and people they knew in life? It’s in the Bible, Psalm 146:4, ESV. “When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.” Can the dead talk with the living? “For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, NKJV.) What does the Bible say about communicating with “familiar spirits”, or ghosts? It’s in the Bible, Isaiah 8:19, NASB. “And when they say to you, ‘Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter.’ Should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?” In verse 20 of the King James Version the Bible goes on to say, “To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” What does the Bible say about those who communicate with familiar spirits? It’s in the Bible, Leviticus 19:31, NKJV. “Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.”

Jeremiah 16:17 I see everything that they do. They can’t hide anything from me. Their wickedness can’t be hidden; I can see it. Job 10:14 If I sin, you watch me and will not free me from my guilt. Jeremiah 2:22 Even if you wash with detergent and use a lot of soap, I would still see the stains from your wickedness,” declares the Almighty LORD. Hosea 7:2 They don’t realize that I remember all the evil things they’ve done. Now their sins surround them. Their sins are in my presence. Psalm 69:5 O God, you know my stupidity, and the things of which I am guilty are not hidden from you. Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” → A sobering reminder that our choices have consequences.

OUR SECURITY IS IN GOD. WE CAN DEPEND ON GOD. DID YOU FIND THIS QUICK REFRESHER TO BE HELPFUL?
Romans 8:38–39 For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! Paul was a passionate follower of Christ who encouraged and taught believers. He was a discipler and kept strong ties to many early churches in order to help foster them in the truth. His writings grew out of this missionary/pastoral work. He desired to share the truth with those that were being pulled away. In this chapter, Paul is focused on the new life that a believer has in Christ Jesus and the relation of the Holy Spirit to this new life. The tense that Paul uses indicates that it is a past action that has an ongoing impact. He was persuaded by God, and still has full assurance that what God told him is true. Paul is telling the church that once a person receives salvation from Christ there is nothing that can take that away from them. They do not need to fear, or hide their salvation, because there is nothing that can ever threaten it. Have you ever thought you finally did the one thing that was bad enough that God will not forgive you? There is no such thing. There is nothing you can do; there is nothing someone else can do; there is nothing that the world, or the devil, or anything else in all of creation can do to separate you from the love that God has given you. John 6:47 I can guarantee this truth: Every believer has eternal life.
