Romans 8:38–39 For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! Paul was a passionate follower of Christ who encouraged and taught believers. He was a discipler and kept strong ties to many early churches in order to help foster them in the truth. His writings grew out of this missionary/pastoral work. He desired to share the truth with those that were being pulled away. In this chapter, Paul is focused on the new life that a believer has in Christ Jesus and the relation of the Holy Spirit to this new life.
