OUR SECURITY IS IN GOD. WE CAN DEPEND ON GOD. DID YOU FIND THIS QUICK REFRESHER TO BE HELPFUL?
Romans 8:38–39 For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! Paul was a passionate follower of Christ who encouraged and taught believers. He was a discipler and kept strong ties to many early churches in order to help foster them in the truth. His writings grew out of this missionary/pastoral work. He desired to share the truth with those that were being pulled away. In this chapter, Paul is focused on the new life that a believer has in Christ Jesus and the relation of the Holy Spirit to this new life. The tense that Paul uses indicates that it is a past action that has an ongoing impact. He was persuaded by God, and still has full assurance that what God told him is true. Paul is telling the church that once a person receives salvation from Christ there is nothing that can take that away from them. They do not need to fear, or hide their salvation, because there is nothing that can ever threaten it. Have you ever thought you finally did the one thing that was bad enough that God will not forgive you? There is no such thing. There is nothing you can do; there is nothing someone else can do; there is nothing that the world, or the devil, or anything else in all of creation can do to separate you from the love that God has given you. John 6:47 I can guarantee this truth: Every believer has eternal life.
I HOPE YOU FOUND THIS QUICK REFRESHER TO BE HELPFUL.
1 John 1:9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we’ve done wrong. Psalm 119:90 Your faithfulness endures throughout every generation. You set the earth in place, and it continues to stand. Hebrews 10:23 We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The one who made the promise is faithful. 1 Corinthians 1:9 “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son.”
OUR GOD IS FAITHFUL, IF GOD SAID IT WE CAN BELEIVE IT.
