Hebrews 4:16 So we can go confidently to the throne of God’s kindness to receive mercy and find kindness, which will help us at the right time.
Psalm 103:8 – “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”
-Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
-Ephesians 3:12 – “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
-James 4:8 – “Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
Romans 5:2 – “Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.”

BE AWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS

BE AWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS
GALATIANS 1:6-10

In this passage of scripture we see that the churches of Galatia were being led astray by false teachers, and the very souls of the believers were at stake. Paul had no choice; he had to be strong in what he wrote, for Christ had taught that the value of a single soul was worth more than all the wealth of the world.
some persons turned to false gospels. This is the subject of The Book of Galatians, the very reason Paul wrote to the churches of Galatia. Some false teachers had joined the church, false teachers who did not believe in the gospel as proclaimed by Paul and the apostles. They were adding to and taking away from the gospel of the Scriptures and attacking the minister. As a result, some believers were following the false teachers and turning to their false gospels. Paul warned the believers of the churches, and his warning was direct and forceful.

Galatians 1:6–10 I’m surprised that you’re so quickly deserting Christ, who called you in his kindness, to follow a different kind of good news. But what some people are calling good news is not really good news at all. They are confusing you. They want to distort the Good News about Christ. Whoever tells you good news that is different from the Good News we gave you should be condemned to hell, even if he is one of us or an angel from heaven. I’m now telling you again what we’ve told you in the past: If anyone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you received, that person should be condemned to hell.  Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ’s servant.

The believers were following those who twisted the gospel of Christ. They were following false teachers. Note what it was that made the teachers false teachers: a perverting of the gospel. The word pervert (metastrepsai) means to turn about, to change completely, to distort. They were taking the gospel of God’s love and grace as demonstrated in His Son, Jesus Christ, and changing it. The false teachers claimed to be Christians, followers of Christ. They even believed with Paul …
•      that God did love the world and send His Son into the world
      •      that Jesus Christ was the Son of God who did actually come to
•      that Jesus Christ did die and arise from the dead

However, the false teachers were adding to and taking away from the gospel, twisting its meaning and making it say something entirely different from the Scripture Paul preached, AND WE STILL HAVE THOSE FALSE TEACHERS HERE WITH US TODAY.
 .
Verse 6: Paul is shocked that the Galatians are so quickly turning away from the one who called them by the grace of Christ. They are deserting the true gospel and turning to a “different gospel.” This reflects Paul’s deep disappointment that they are abandoning the message of salvation through faith in Christ alone.
Verse 7: Paul clarifies that this “different gospel” is not really another gospel at all. Instead, it is a distortion of the true gospel, brought about by individuals who are causing confusion and trying to pervert the message of Christ.
Verses 8-9: Paul emphasizes the seriousness of adhering to the true gospel. He declares that even if he, or an angel from heaven, were to preach a gospel contrary to the one they received, they should be accursed. He repeats this warning to underscore its importance.
Verse 10: Paul challenges the Galatians to consider his motives. He asks whether he is seeking the approval of humans or of God. He makes it clear that his commitment is to God, not to pleasing people, and that he is a servant of Christ.

LET US NOT FORGET THERE IS NOT BUT ONE TRUE GOSPEL. IF WE TURN AWAY FROM THE ONLY
TRUE GOSPEL, WE ARE TURNING AWAY FROM GOD.
LET US BE SURE NOT TO ALLOW THESE FALSE PROPHETS, THESE PROSPERITY PREACHERS, THESE FEEL-GOOD PREACHERS, THESE EAR TICKLERS TO LEAD US AWAY FROM THE TRUE GOSPEL OF GOD.
WE MUST BE ALERT AND RECOGNIZE WHO THESE PREACHERS ARE SEEKING APPROVAL FROM HUMANS OR GOD. WE MUST RECOGNIZE ARE THEY ADDING TO OR TAKING AWAY FROM THE TRUE WORD OF GOD, OR ARE THEY TWISTING THE WORD OF GOD FOR THEIR OWN GOOD.

I HOPE YOU RECEIVED GREATLY FROM THIS DEEP STUDY.

MUST FACE YOUR SINS TO BE SAVED.

MUST FACE YOUR SINS TO BE SAVED.

Luke 15:17-19 “Finally, he came to his senses. He said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more food than they can eat, while I’m starving to death here? I’ll go at once to my father, and I’ll say to him, “Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and you. I don’t deserve to be called your son anymore. Make me one of your hired men.” ’

The prodigal son came to himself; that is, he came to his senses and faced reality. THERE COMES A TIME WHEN WE HAVE TO FACE REALITY IN OUR LIFE.

THERE COME A TIME WHEN WE HAVE TO COME TO OUR SENSES AND RECOGNIZE WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE ARE, AND ADMIT AND FACE THE SINS IN OUR LIFE.
WE MUST RECOGNIZE AND REPENT.

Note that repentance is simply a changed life, a life that turns from sin to righteousness, from self to God, from this world to heaven, from the temporal to the eternal.

A QUICK REFRESHER

What does God expect of us? It’s in the Bible, Deuteronomy 10:12-13, NIV. “And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?”

God expects us to care about the details of our life. It’s in the Bible, Luke 16:10, NIV. “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

Fools talk too much. It’s in the Bible, Proverbs 10:8, NIV. “The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.” Proverbs 17:28, NIV. “Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.”

Whom did Jesus pronounce blessed? It’s in the Bible, Luke 11:28, NIV. “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

None of God’s promises in the Bible ever fail. It’s in the Bible, Joshua 23:14, ESV. “…not one word has failed of all the good things that the LORD your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.”

WHAT GOD DID FOR US

WHAT GOD DID FOR US

Titus 3:3–8
Indeed, we, too, were once stupid, disobedient, and misled. We were slaves to many kinds of lusts and pleasures. We were mean and jealous. We were hated, and we hated each other.  However, when God our Savior made his kindness and love for humanity appear, he saved us, but not because of anything we had done to gain his approval. Instead, because of his mercy he saved us through the washing in which the Holy Spirit gives us new birth and renewal. God poured a generous amount of the Spirit on us through Jesus Christ our Savior. As a result, God in his kindness has given us his approval and we have become heirs who have the confidence that we have everlasting life. This is a statement that can be trusted. I want you to insist on these things so that those who believe in God can concentrate on setting an example by doing good things. This is good and helps other people.

LET US NOT FORGET WHAT GOD DID FOR US.

WE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE GOD

WE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE GOD

1 John 4:15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

Lamentations 3:24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Romans 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 14:11 It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Shun Hypocrisy

Shun Hypocrisy

Proverbs 26:23–28 ⸤Like⸥ a clay pot covered with cheap silver, so is smooth talk that covers up an evil heart.  Whoever is filled with hate disguises it with his speech, but inside he holds on to deceit.  When he talks charmingly, do not trust him because of the seven disgusting things in his heart.  His hatred is deceitfully hidden, but his wickedness will be revealed to the community.  Whoever digs a pit will fall into it.  Whoever rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.  A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth causes ruin.

Titus 1:16 They claim to know God, but they deny him by what they do. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit to do anything good.

Romans 2:3 When you judge people for doing these things but then do them yourself, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?

Hypocrisy is when someone claims to have certain beliefs, principles, or standards but acts in a way that contradicts them. It’s like preaching honesty while secretly being deceptive, or criticizing others for something you do yourself. It can be frustrating because it creates a gap between words and actions.

GOD TEACHES US ABOUT OUR SPEACH

GOD TEACHES US ABOUT OUR SPEACH

Ephesians 5:4 It’s not right that dirty stories, foolish talk, or obscene jokes should be mentioned among you either. Instead, give thanks ⸤to God⸥.

The believer follows God, by being clean-mouthed. If a believer is to follow and imitate God, he has to be pure in speech and conversation; he has to keep his mouth or tongue clean. He cannot let his mouth become foul, polluted, filthy, and vile.
He is never, not once, to be engaged in filthiness (aischrotes): using the mouth in obscene, shameful, foul, polluted, base, immoral conduct and conversation. What an indictment of our day—a day of sodomy and perversion. And note: the word refers to both conduct and speech. How polluted and foul-mouthed so many have become—so much so that society could easily be known as a second Sodom and Gomorrah.
The believer is never once to engage in foolish talking (morologia): empty, unthoughtful, senseless, wasted, idle, aimless, or purposeless talk; talk that just fritters away and wastes time, that has absolutely no purpose to it. It also means sinful, foolish, silly, and corrupt talk.

Ephesians 4:29 Don’t say anything that would hurt ⸤another person⸥. Instead, speak only what is good so that you can give help wherever it is needed. That way, what you say will help those who hear you.

The believer is to strip away filthy and foul talk. The word corrupt (sapros) means rotten, foul, putrid and polluting. Corrupt talk, of course, would include cursing and unholy talk and even the worthless conversation that is so often carried on by people. The Amplified New Testament has a good description.

“Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word, nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth” (Ep. 4:29).

Scripture says that a man with a foul mouth has a mouth that is “an open sepulchre [grave]” (Ro. 3:13). An open grave is foul, and it is a symbol of corruption. So is a man with a sinful mouth.  His mouth is …

      •      foul
      •      dirty
      •      obscene
      •      polluted
      •      filthy
      •      detestable
      •      profane
      •      dishonorable
      •      offensive

The obscene mouth may range from off-colored humor to dirty jokes, from immoral suggestions to outright propositions for sex. But no matter, a man with a foul mouth stinks just like an open grave; his filthiness causes corruption, the decay of character. The filth from his mouth eats and eats away at his character and at the character of his listeners—so much so that he becomes as offensive as that of a decayed corpse. The foul, filthy mouth kills character, its attractiveness, trust, faithfulness, morality, honor, and godliness.

WELL DOING

WELL DOING

1 Peter 2:15 God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing what is right.
This verse emphasizes the power of good deeds and righteous living in countering negativity or opposition. Instead of responding to criticism with hostility, it encourages believers to let their actions speak for themselves. Living a life of integrity and goodness can be a testimony that quiets those who misunderstand or criticize unjustly.

OUR GOD TEACHES US THE IMPORTANCE OF DOING GOOD DEEDS.
Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” This verse encourages persistence in doing good, reminding believers that their efforts will be rewarded.

Matthew 5:16 – “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Doing good is a way to reflect God’s love and inspire others.

Titus 2:7-8 – “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.”
This verse reinforces the idea that upright behavior can leave critics with no grounds for accusation.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 – “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”
Living a respectful and diligent life can be a testimony to those outside the faith.

ALLOW THESE VERSES TO BE A GUIDE UNTO YOUR LIFE.
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS QUICK REFRESHER.
WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT WE CAN SILENCE OPPOSITION BY DOING GOOD AND LIVING A RIGHTEOUS LIFE.
